General description
The Dry Fractionator can sustainably produce a protein-rich fraction (protein concentrate) and a starch-rich fraction from legume and cereal flours and some other food powders without using any water, chemicals, or other solvents.
Technical description
The state of the art Hosokawa Alpine Dry Fractionator is a used to mill and separate food powders or particles based on their size and density. The mill can turn seeds, grains and granules into fine powders with controlled particle size. The air classifier utilizes airflow and mechanical forces to separate particles into fine and coarse fractions (e.g. protein rich and starch rich fractions).
